TS-EUROTRAIN: A Marie Curie Initial Training Network for Tourette Syndrome

Tchangehe European Network for the Study of Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome (COST Action BM0905) gains further support by the European Union (3,000,000 Euros), in order to establish a Marie Curie Initial Training Network for Tourette Syndrome.

TS-EUROTRAIN is a coalition of ten partners who aim to train the next generation of experts in the field of Tourette Syndrome and conduct large-scale collaborative research for Tourette Syndrome and related disorders.

TS-EUROTRAIN is coordinated by Dr Peristera Paschou from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Democritus University of Thrace, who also chairs COST Action BM0905. The TS-EUROTRAIN team includes academic experts from the University of Ulm, the Hannover Medical School, Utrecht University, University Medical Center Groningen, Semmelweis University, and the Kennedy Center.Participation of three partners from the private sector (deCODE genetics, Boehringer Ingelheim and SENSA BV from the project TACTICS) will build bridges between academia and industry.

The project is expected to start in October 2012. Positions for 12 International PhD Programmes will become available.
