2015 Meeting





The 1st World Congress on Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders was successfully held in London on June 24-26, 2015. The meeting featured presentations from world renowned experts on Tourette Syndrome, on advances in basic research as well as clinical practice. The full programme and related announcements can be found here, and recorded video talks and pictures can also be found at the congress website.

Final Numbers:
- 430 total people registered
- 37 countries represented
- 200 abstracts accepted
- 20 travel grants awarded




Multiple training events were offered in conjunction with the meeting, such as the TS-EUROTRAIN consortium training workshop"Neurotransmitters in Tourette Syndrome: From neurobiology to neuroimaging".

Robertson-Ganos-2015Christos Ganos from the Sobell Dept. for Motor Control and Movement Disorders at UCL was the recipient of the 2015 Prof. Mary Robertson Award for Research Contribution by a Junior Investigator. The full presentation may be found here.

Best Poster Presentation Awards were presented to John Alexander from the Dept of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Democritus University of Thrace, and Jessica Lennington from Yale University School of Medicine. The best Oral presentation award was presented to Caitlin Gauvin, from the Massachusetts General Hospital, and Juan Carlos Baldermann fron Uniklinik Koeln.
