Call for Short Term Scientific Missions for the Study of Tourette Syndrome

The “European Network for the Study of Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome” (COST Action BM0905) is pleased to announce the availability of fellowships for Short Term Scientific Missions (Exchange Visits) for research of clinical training in the field of Tourette Syndrome. It is estimated that at least 4-5 such fellowships will become available each year until the end of the Action.

The Home and Host Institutions must be located in a country that has formally accepted the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Action BM0905. The duration of a Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) can be between one week and 3 months. The COST Action will offer fellowships to support travel and subsistence in the form of a fixed amount grant that cannot exceed EUR 2,500 (paid after the end of the STSM).

Applications for STSM fellowships should be made electronically through the following website:

After encoding the information via the on-line registration tool, the system will issue a formal STSM application which has to be downloaded and sent by the applicant electronically (by e-mail as attachment) together with a CV, a one-page description of the workplan and expected benefits and outcomes, and a letter of support from the Host Institute to Mr Karagiannidis ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and should be submitted at least four weeks prior to the start of the visit. The assessment will be made by the Chair and Steering Committee of the Action. Strong preference will be given to early stage researchers (PhD students or less than 8 years experience after PhD).
